Canada Day

This year, Canada Day may look a little different as we are unable to gather and celebrate Canada’s 153rd birthday like we normally would. However, we can find new ways to celebrate our great country and all it has to offer!

Are you a last minute shopper like us? If you are, do we ever have the list for you! As you may, or may not know, Father’s Day is this Sunday, June 21st. We thought this would be a great time to showcase some great local businesses that are open where you could find the perfect gift for that special man in your life.

Footprints on the Floor

Every year on October 31st, streets are taken over by children dressed in all kinds of costumes, but the history behind this day is much more than that. The origins go back to the Celtic celebration of Samhaim, where people would dress in costumes and light fires to ward off the spirits of those who had passed.
