5 More Autumnal Treats to try in the Heart of Georgian Bay

Fall has officially arrived, and with it comes delicious autumnal flavours! Since we had so much fun creating last week’s roundup of autumnal treats in the Heart of Georgian Bay, this week we have five more to share. If you try any of these treats let us know – happy autumn!

1 – Apple & Pumpkin Spice Fritters from Georgian Bakery

Apple Fritters are available fresh from Georgian Bakery during all four seasons, but they make the perfect fall treat for fans of apples. If you are more of a pumpkin connoisseur, they also have Pumpkin Spice Fritters for the autumn! We recommend picking up one of each, and then splitting them to share with a friend so you can have your own autumn taste test.

Georgian Bakery is located in Midland and is open Wednesday to Sunday from 8-4.

2 – Seasonal Lattes from Grounded Coffee Co.

We couldn’t do another round up of autumnal treats without including another PSL (Pumpkin Spice Latte) for you to try. Grounded Coffee Co. serves up a delicious PSL to enjoy as the weather cools down. If PSL’s aren’t your thing, order their Candy Corn Latte (yes you read that right). The Candy Corn latte has a delicious honey flavour that will get you in the Halloween spirit.

Grounded Coffee Co. is located in Midland and is open Wednesday to Sunday from 7-3.

3 – Apple Crumble Scone from RoyalTea on King

RoyalTea on King always serves unique scone flavours, and for the fall they have an Apple Crumble Scone for you to enjoy. The scone has brown sugar cinnamon and is made with local apples. Be sure to order yours with clotted cream and jam, and enjoy it with a cup of tea to get the full RoyalTea experience.

RoyalTea on King is located in Midland and is open Monday to Sunday from 10-4.

4 – Local Apple Products from Farm2Door

Farm2Door is a business intended to make local food more accessible to local communities. 65-70% of the products they carry come from farmers and producers in Simcoe County, and the remainder of products are sourced from Ontario. For the autumn, we recommend Apple Cider from Goldsmith’s, Apple Pie Jam from Papa John’s Natural Preserves, and Apple Crumble Muffins or Apple Cider Cake Cookies from Fresh Baked Consulting.

Farm2Door is located in Perkinsfield and is open Sunday to Thursday from 10-3 and Friday and Saturday from 10-5.

5 – Butter Tart Smoothie from MegaMindful Living

Not all fall days are cold outside and smoothies from MegaMindful Living are a great cold treat for warm autumn days. Their Butter Tart Smoothie is made with pecans, maple, oats, and dates, and is reminiscent of a delicious autumn baked good.

MegaMindful Living is located in Midland and is open Monday to Sunday from 8-8.
