Summer has arrived here in the Heart of Georgian Bay, with nice weather finally here to stay and school is out, some are still wondering what to do to kick off their summer. Well no need to worry. Here are some fun things to do with your friends and family to start your summer off right!
Northern Heat Rib series is a great place to bring friends and family. It is mouth waterin’, finger lickin’ good BBQ with craft breweries and live music every night. Friday is country night, Saturday is rock night and Sunday is music mash up. They will have also have activities for the kids like giant yard games and carnival treats.
The Tall Ships Challenge returns to Midland this weekend! Climb aboard five magnificent ships and meet their crews, enjoy an artisan market and more.
For ongoing fun throughout the summer, Tiny Township is hosting free outdoor movie nights in their wonderful parks! All movies will be family-friendly and some will be featured in French. This is a great opportunity for the whole family to get out for a fun movie experience.
If music is more of your thing, head instead to Parc Rotary Champlain Wendat Park in Penetanguishene for Bayside Summer Soirée where you can listen to live music in the outdoor amphitheatre.
For an indoor start to your summer, there is British Beat at the Midland Cultural Centre. If you love the music of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Dave Clark Fives, Tom Jones, Yardbirds and many more great British Bands – you’ll love British Beat 66! Complete with a sixties look, musical equipment and especially all those great songs. British Beat is a fun-filled musical tribute to the British Invasion of the Sixties.
