This is the biggest yearly event in Tay Township bringing together a multitude of people with one focus – To Celebrate Canada’s Birthday. It is the second most popular event in the area including Midland and beyond, and it has grown in popularity year after year. People often talk about attending the fabulous parade, eating Free Hamburgers, Sausages and Hot Dogs, being able to get their faces painted, watch a balloon twister in action or a magician, then go pet or hold the exotic animals, being able to shop at 40+ Artisan/Crafter booths, Be entertained by musicians/bands all afternoon – and all this does not cost a DIME!
The evenings are filled with top name Tribute Bands, that are not to be missed.
The event involves community clubs and associations. The Royal Canadian Legion refreshments, The VH Lion's, Steak on a Bun BBQ, The Port McNicoll Anglers provide afternoon and evening food, and The Recreation and Culture committee sells pop/water & snacks.
All in all a fantastic event to visit and enjoy for the entire family.
